Bienno always features in lists of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Our retreat is based in the historic and comfortable Eremo of Saints Peter and Paul, above Bienno, a site shared with a Monastery of Poor Clares. We shall enjoy talks, piano and organ recitals by Chiara Bertoglio, a renowned concert pianist based in Turin and author of four books on Faith and Music. Three Choirs will be singing for us. Brescia, the provincial capital, has a great musical tradition and the Camonica Valley nearby, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to thousands of prehistoric stone inscriptions.
